Broadleaf plantain is a weedy non-native plant. It enjoys full sun, but can be found in partially shaded areas, too. Not only used for it’s medicinal properties it is also an edible plant.
I grow it all around the garden, especially around my bee hives. It’s the best leaf to grab when one of the hive has inadvertently stung you as you work with them. It’ll soothe and draw out the sting as it also does with mozzie bites, ant bites and splinters. Another place you’ll find it on the farm is the rose patch, to help with the sting of the rose thorns.
